Miracle-Gro AeroGarden Giveaway: Start Your Own Indoor Garden Now
So perhaps you, like me not too long ago, may be thinking: “What’s an AeroGarden, and why would I want one?” And maybe like me, you’ve heard of “hydroponic gardening” and wondered what it was but never actually took the time to find out. Well, I can now give you some info. The technical definition is that hydroponics is “a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, in water, without soil.” Here’s my short story: an indoor garden, no mess or bugs, plug-in automatic “sunlight,” and almost nothing required from me to grow herbs, salad greens, flowers, and more. Cool, huh?
I’m going to start my AeroGarden experiment here, and you can follow along. I’ll update this page with photos, results, comments, and tips as things progress. But since I don’t want to wait until the end to give you a chance to join in the fun, I’m hosting a giveaway here of the exact same model that I’m testing: the 3SL (currently selling for $49.97). Even though it’s the most compact model, you can plant three different types of herbs or flowers or salad greens. I started with the basil, dill, and parsley herb combo.
After just 3 days, my basil was sprouting.
Did I show you the night-light?
After 4 days away for the Thanksgiving holiday (did I mention that this garden takes care of itself??), I found this when I came home. Look at that dill in the middle! (Still waiting on the parsley.)
And now, here comes the Curly Parsley, just a bit later to the party…
Update (early December): Oh my, how these little guys have grown! Obviously, I need to somehow help — by harvesting? — my droopy dill in the middle.
More to come…
In the meantime, you can enter our giveaway of the Miracle-Gro AeroGarden 3SL (the same as mine) here. It grows plants 5 times faster than soil, sets up in minutes, and is small enough to fit almost anywhere–in your kitchen, home, or office. The light turns on and off automatically, and the control panel reminds you when to add nutrients. These liquid nutrients and a 3-pod Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit with Genovese basil, curly parsley, and dill are included with the model.
Other opportunities to win this and other AeroGarden models are noted at the bottom of this post.
AeroGarden 3SL Giveaway
There are six ways to enter the giveaway, but it’s not necessary to do all six entries. Choose whichever one(s) you like, and you’ll be entered in the giveaway. The winner, to be randomly selected and notified by e-mail, must claim the prize within one week. The prize will be shipped directly from the sponsor (allow 6-8 weeks for delivery).
